Coming to Albany in the Summer of 2009,
A Cat-aclysmic Event of City-Wide Proportions!

Big cats and little cats, all strutting their newly acquired artistic coats, will leap onto the Albany art scene. Colorful or fanciful, witty or winsome, funny or romantic - a variety of styles and palettes will be displayed on the streets and in the stores of Albany. There will be special events throughout the summer to purrpetuate interest. The finale will be a grand gala and auction of the cats.

Why did Whiskers start the Capital Cats project?

1. To raise money for our no-kill shelter and animal rescue programs
2. To raise awareness of the plight of homeless and abused animals in the Capital Region
3. To educate people about responsible pet care
4. Because Albany needs a splash of color and fantasy once in awhile!
